The UFC hasn’t made any official announcement regarding a reported rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, but a post to Instagram on Friday from McGregor supports the idea that it’s happening next.

It was a good knock. Enjoy it. We’ll see the next time.

The rematch of UFC 196’s massive short notice main event is expected to be coming at UFC 200. Initially reported as a welterweight matchup, Diaz said this week he wants the fight at lightweight so there are no possible excuses for McGregor should he win again.

Penick’s Analysis: All signs definitely point to this fight happening at UFC 200, so now it will be simply a matter of an official announcement, and finding out whether or not it happens at lightweight. If the fight’s going to happen next, it definitely should be at lightweight. Regardless, it’s going to be a huge money rematch for the UFC among the casual fanbase, which is the reason it’s being put together in the first place.
