Amanda Ribas vs Rose Namajunas
Thug Rose has lost her last two fights so she desperately needs this. Her last win was a split decision back in 2021. Her career may very well be in jeopardy here. A big win would help put her back on the path if she can string together some wins and gain momentum.
Ribas losing to both Macey Barber and Katlyn Cerminara makes her a gate keeper. The only way around that is by beating Rose, a former champ. Amanda Ribas needs a killer instinct to get the job done.
Karl Williams vs Justin Tafa
Karl Williams looks to continue his rise within the division but Tafa will prove to be a tall task. Williams should make an example out of Tafa, Tafa is the perfect opponent to earn some respect.
Tafa knocks people out, that’s what he does. Williams may not be able to drag this fight to a decision as he often does. Justin Tafa needs to win and build momentum on an impressive finish.
Edmen Shahbazyan vs AJ Dobson
Shahbazyan is 1-4 and hasn’t won in 5 years. 2019 was his last win. If he loses the UFC has to toss him, its what they do. He’s been a bust if you ask me, he started off hot but when the going got tough, the tough TKO’d him. He reminds me a lot of Sage Northcutt, plenty of tell, not enough show.
Dobson is 1-2 in his last 3 fights, he’s not exactly impressive himself. He only has 2 losses via decision so he most likely won’t be finished but he made need one to stand out.
Final take
This could be a possible sleeping card. There are definitely some good fights on here. A decent appetizer leading up to UFC 300.
