Mauricio “Shogun” Rua is out of his fight with Rashad Evans next month at UFC on Fox 19, and Glover Teixeira has stepped in on a month’s notice to take that fight.

The switch was first reported by FoxSports.com, and the bout will remain on the Fox broadcast from Tampa on April 16.

This is the second time a fight between Evans and Rua has been scrapped due to injury. They were scheduled to meet back in 2011 for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, but an injury to Evans took him out, and opened the door for Jon Jones.

Now, Evans enters off a loss in his return from injury last fall, where he dropped a decision to Ryan Bader. Teixeira steps up after consecutive wins over Ovince St. Preux and Patrick Cummins.

UFC on Fox 19 will be headlined by the lightweight contender fight between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
