Tonight, Valentina Shevchenko defends her flyweight title against Liz Carmouche. Who wins?

I’ll go with Shevchenko by decision. It’ll probably be a close fight but I think Shevchenko does enough to win every round and the score looks more lop-sided than the fight actually was. The fight might drag at times but I think Shevchenko neutralizes Carmouche and gets the nod from the judges.

The only thing that can stop Valentina Shevchenko in this fight is all of the outside factors. It’s a quick turnaround, and she’s fighting overseas in a new market for UFC. I think Liz Carmouche will put up a better fight than Jessica Eye did. I expect Carmouche to try and get into Shevchenko’s face and get the fight to the ground. She might be successful in doing so, but will ultimately get submitted by “Bullet” and I’m calling for that in the second round.

10 years ago everyone was a completely different person, except maybe Dana White. We saw Urijah Faber beat Dominick Cruz earlier in his career and this fight will play out like that one did. Liz Carmouche certainly has a resume not many havw. But the Valentina Shevchenko she is up against is the number 2 female MMA fighter in the world. No one would have believed that Amanda Nunes would be as dominant as she has been but look where we are in 2019. Jessica Eye had absolutely no business in the Octagon with Valentina and I believe that the same can be said for Liz Carmouche. I want Liz Carmouche get knocked out like Eye, like Holm, like Askren, like any other fighter that doesn’t belong.
