There were no events again this past weekend so I’ll touch upon some MMA stories. Not a lot here, folks, but events start back up next week so bear with me.
On the November 7th, 2024 edition of The Casuals MMA podcast, former
two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw (17-5) showed that
he can no longer lift his left elbow above his shoulder. This is
despite multiple shoulder surgeries after he suffered multiple
shoulder dislocations in the camp leading up to, and during, his UFC Bantamweight Title fight against the champion Aljamain Sterling (24-5)
at UFC 280 in October 2022.
Dillashaw said that his left shoulder doesn’t hurt, it just doesn’t
work. It’s unfortunate this is the case and I wish T.J. the best as he continues to navigate retirement from MMA.

On the Jaxxon podcast former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping
(30-9) talked about issues he had with his vision after his fight
against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort (26-14, 1 No Contest) in January 2013. Bisping suffered a detached retina in his right eye that led to a total loss of vision in that eye and later began wearing a latex cosmetic that perfectly matches his good left eye.
Bisping took out that cosmetic during his appearance on the Jaxxon podcast, much to the horror of the host. Former Strikeforce and UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold (16-6) and Quinton “Rampage”
Jackson (38-14) were also in attendance at this podcast and reacted as
you would expect most people to react, with a mixture of disgust and curiosity.
Bisping fought multiple fights over many years with only one good eye.
He faked vision tests and never told anyone outside of a select few in his inner circle. This is yet another story about the lengths some
people will go to in order to compete. I also wish Michael the best as he continues to navigate retirement from MMA in the commentary and
movie-making worlds.

In good news to wrap things up this week, The Ultimate Fighter 3 competitor Matt Hamill (13-8) recently got the most powerful hearing
aids ever made and can finally hear his children’s voices. And for the first time in 41 years, Matt can hear the sounds that most of the
rest of us take for granted.
This is fantastic news and I’m very happy for Matt. It’s great how far technology has advanced and I hope many others are able to benefit in a similar fashion.
I wish Matt the best in this new and exciting part of his life.
My new epic fantasy book is out. It’s called Kingdom of Zarias: The End’s Beginning. The exciting epic fantasy series Kingdom of Zarias returns with the 4th book in the series. After the harrowing events of
Book 3 the residents of the Kingdom of Zarias continue on their paths.
Serena Summers continues to learn and grow as a fighter, desperately seeking to become stronger before she loses anyone else in her life.
Daniel Summers discovers new parts of the world that open his eyes to
just how little he truly knows. A new hero, Lamar Abeers, arrives to
join the fight against evil. Plus, Zach Summers, Tiana Highsmith, and Xavien Ekens continue their journeys with their friends, and a new ruler of Vhaharen is crowned. The world has found a little peace.
However, that peace is only temporary. In a shocking act of violence,
the monstrous villain Galren strikes from the shadows and changes the
world forever. This is Book 4 in the series. There’s lots of action,
magic, and monsters in the Kingdom of Zarias. It’s like a tabletop
game in novel form. It’s on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other places. If you’re interested, I would greatly appreciate it if you would check it out and support me. Also, here’s the link to my Compendium book about the Kingdom of Zarias series- KoZ Compendium Thank you very much, have a good day.
