A pair of Ultimate Fighter 22 competitors absent from the finale event last Friday night will make their UFC debuts in February, with the organization announcing on Thursday that Team McGregor teammates Martin Svensson and David Teymur will meet at UFC Fight Night 83 in London.
The quarterfinalists on this season of the show were both part of Team Europe, though Svensson was unable to take part in that round after suffering a broken elbow in his opening round win over Thanh Le. He was supposed to face eventual runner-up Artem Lobov in that bout, a man he’d actually lost once to in professional competition.
He brings a 14-5 career record into his official UFC debut, up against the 3-1 mark held by Teymur. Sweden’s Teymur lost his MMA debut, but posted three straight wins before the Ultimate Fighter. He scored two decision wins to get to the quarterfinals, where he lost a majority decision against Marcin Wrzosek.
The fight joins the Feb. 27 card in London, which does not yet have a headliner. The expected UFC Fight Pass event airs live from the O2 Arena.
