Sam Alvey vs. Daniel Sarafian reportedly added to UFC Fight Night 82 in Pittsburgh

Another fight appears to be set for the UFC Fight Night 82 event in Pittsburgh, as Combate reports that “Smilin'” Sam Alvey will take on Daniel Sarafian on the card.

Alvey had been on an exciting three-fight winning streak into his most recent outing in August, knocking out all three of his opponents in that stretch in the first round. He was on the wrong end of a first round stoppage in that most recent fight, getting stopped by Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 73.

Sarafian returns to action for the first time since December of 2014, having spent the entirety of 2015 on the sidelines due injury. Sarafian moved back to middleweight in that fight after a one-off loss at welterweight, and defeated Antonio dos Santos when his opponent suffered a finger injury in the second round and couldn’t continue.

UFC Fight Night 82 doesn’t yet have a headliner, but it is expected to air live on Fox Sports 1 from the Consol Energy Center on Sunday, Feb. 21.
