UFC 239 PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS 7/06: Grocke’s updated odds & predictions for every fight
Jorge Masvidal over Ben Akren via KO
Odds: Askren -220-; Masvidal +180
Nobody had a better UFC 239 than Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal earning a victory over Askren is not exactly a massive surprise, but the way that it occurred will live on in UFC history. So often, a flying-knee is a move that looks cool, but rarely lands with maximum impact. This fight will forever be the exception. One can only imagine the thrill of watching that KO, and then looking down at a ticket to realize Masvidal cashed!
Jan Blachowicz over Luke Rockhold via KO
Odds: Rockhold -240; Blachowicz +200
Rockhold’s light heavyweight debut ended up much like his last few fights at middleweight. Despite being the favorite, Rockhold looked completely out of his element in this fight. With that said, it is not difficult to imagine a bettor looking at these two names, and the odds, and putting some cash down on Rockhold.
Chance Rencountre over Ismail Naurdiev via unanimous decision
Odds: Naurdiev -535; Rencountre +385
From an odds perspective, this was the biggest upset of the evening. Despite the aggression that Naurdiev brought to this fight, Rencountre has an answer for everything. This fight might have slipped under the radar, but for those paying attention, it paid off.
Perfect underdog parlay:
Rencountre +386
Blachowicz +200
Masvidal +180
A $10 bet would yield a payout of $398.24
