Amanda Nunes defeats Holly Holm via TKO

MMA: UFC 239-Nunes vs Holm

Amanda Nunes is still the baddest woman on the planet.

Nunes retained her bantamweight title via TKO in the co-main event of UFC 239.

After a getting an early takedown, Nunes connected with a head kick that dropped Holm. Nunes followed up with several punches to the grounded Holm, before the fight was called at 4:10 of round 1.

The win further enhances Nunes’ already impressive resume.

Nunes has now defeated every other woman to hold the bantamweight title, (Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, and Holly Holm) the two other women to hold the featherweight title (Germaine de Randamie, and Cris Cyborg), and defeated flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko twice.

After the fight, Nunes indicated that she wanted to defend both her bantamweight and featherweight titles simultaneously.

Top bantamweight contenders Germaine de Randamie and  Aspen Ladd will face at UFC Sacramento, on July 13. In the featherweight division, Cris Cyborg will face Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 on July 27.

Round 1: Holm connects with a jab to get things going. Nunes rushes in to return fire but Holm is evasive. Nunes connects with a high kick, Holm blocked it a bit, but it still landed. Nunes scores with a trip takedown, but Holm pops right back up. Nunes connects with a right hook! Nunes lands a high kick and Holm is down! Nunes moves in and lands several shots on the ground. This fight is all over!

Result: Amanda Nunes def. Holly Holm via TKO (Head Kick and Punches) Round 1, 4:10

Analysis: Amanda Nunes has now defeated every former UFC Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion… her resume is unmatched. The question is who is next?
