Jorge Masvidal gets historical KO over Ben Askren

Jorge Masvidal created a highlight that will live on in infamy.

Masvidal earned the fastest KO in UFC history at :05,  over Ben Askren at UFC 239.

As soon as the bell rang, Masvidal rushed out of his corner to land a flying knee that dropped Askren immediately. Masvidal landed a few shots to an unconscious Askren just before the referee was able to call off the fight.

After the fight, Masvidal celebrated, while it took several minutes for medical officials to help Askren out of the cage.

Askren was transported to a nearby hospital.

In the post-fight press-conference, UFC president Dana White indicated that Akren was not severely injured.

Analysis: Well that was the fastest KO in UFC history… Masvidal sprinted across the cage, but Askren shot anyway and the knee landed flush. He was out the second it connected. Masvidal has almost assuredly earned himself a World Title shot with this win. As for Askren, he will have to go back to the drawing board if he plans to continue fighting. Remember, he ended his retirement for this UFC run.
