UFC strawweight champ Jessica Andrade robbed at gunpoint

UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade was robbed at gunpoint in Niteroi, Brazil, on Thursday morning. Thankfully, Andrade and her wife Fernanda Gomes were unharmed during the incident.

As originally reported by mmafighting, Andrade and Gomes were stopped by criminals that took their vehicle and smartphones.

Gomes took to Facebook to recall the incident.

Friends, our car was stolen, and along took our cell phones, we are without contact for now only on messenger, who can disclose to find the car

According to the mmafighting report, Andrade’s coach Gilliard Parana said that both women were fine and the car was insured.

Andrade has been riding a wave of praise after capturing the strawweight title from champion  Rose Namajunas in spectacular fashion at UFC 237 in early May.
