“I’ve been kind of tossing around the idea if it would be possible to fight at UFC 200. That would be awesome, but I really have no idea what the UFC has in mind for that. I think they already have a couple title fights, so it may not be realistic. I’ll stay ready if that’s something that becomes an option or available, then great. If not, then we’ll just see what’s next… I think [November is] a long time to wait [for Ronda Rousey], but I’ve had eight-month layoffs before. The last fight I had was already end of July. I’ve waited that long before. It’s not a strange thing for me to do, but ideally I think I’d like to fight one more time before.”

Penick’s Analysis: If that’s her mindset, we could very well see the Holm rematch at UFC 200. There will probably be at least two title fights on that card, if not more, and with Tate scoring that win on one of the biggest pay-per-views ever at UFC 196, it’s a good fight to have on the follow up show as well. That said, she’s open to any opponent the UFC deems deserving of the shot, so we’ll find out soon enough whether or not they’re willing to book someone else in there rather than wait for the Rousey fight.
