The UFC hasn’t made any clear moves regarding Rafael dos Anjos’ next title defense, but one possible challenger seems to hint that he’s getting that fight.
In a post to Twitter, Eddie Alvarez suggested via hashtags that he’s facing dos Anjos next for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

Penick’s Analysis: If they’re stacking the card as much as possible, a dos Anjos title fight works, and Alvarez is a name he hasn’t beaten yet. That said, it’s not all that intriguing a fight just yet, because Alvarez’s last couple of fights haven’t been him at his best. It works alright, but dos Anjos against the winner of Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov would be a better title fight in August than this one in July.
