Penick’s Analysis: What’s great about Cruz is how much he likes to play the antagonist. He’s on this narrative that Dillashaw has copped his style, and is nothing more than a cheap facsimile. Dillashaw will be out to show he’s a more improved version of what Cruz had been in the past. Dillashaw’s been taking a lot of heat about the Ludwig association of late, and the split with TAM hasn’t helped things on that front. Hopefully for his sake it doesn’t become too big of a distraction into what should be one hell of a fight on Jan. 17.
