A lightweight rematch between Patricky “Pitbull” Freire and Derek Anderson is coming to San Jose, Calif., next month, as Bellator MMA officials announced on Tuesday that they’ll face off at Bellator 147.
The two first met in 2013, with Anderson taking a decision to hand Freire what was at the time his third straight loss. Freire has had a solid run since then, winning four of his last five, which includes a win in his last bout at Bellator 141 in August over Saad Awad.
Anderson has split four appearances since that first bout with Freire, stopping Brandon Girtz and Danny Navarro while getting submitted by Marcin Held and dropping a decision to Brent Primus.
Bellator 147 hits the San Jose State University Event Center on Dec. 4, airing on Spike with a main event between Josh Thomson and Pablo Villaseca.
