For the first month and a half after her loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Ronda Rousey kept herself mostly off the grid. The new year has brought a new attitude, and she’s been keeping busy with new commitments and looking to make a strong return in 2016.
To that end, Rousey posted a new comment on Instagram Tuesday that seems to be her new motto post-defeat.
“Dream big, fail big, f*** ’em all,” Rousey wrote, “dream again… dream bigger.”
Rousey plans to return to the cage at some point later this year, but before then she’ll be filming her next two roles, hosting Saturday Night Live, and working on another film project with Tina Fey.
Penick’s Analysis: Credit to Rousey, she’s approaching the new year with a positive attitude that could bring her back even stronger. It’s smart of her to take advantage of opportunities outside of the cage, then re-focus her attention on what she can do in the cage before trying to make it back to the Octagon. The end result is still a question mark, but for now the approach seems to be the right one for her.
