After Felicia Spencer quickly submitted Megan Anderson at UFC Rochester, Spencer’s focus turned to former UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris (Cyborg) Justino. It looks like Spencer will be granted her request.
According to a report by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, Spencer vs. Cyborg is being finalized as the co-main event for UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on July 27.

Cyborg held a 21-1 (1NC) record prior to dropping her UFC featherweight title to bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in a stunning KO upset at UFC 232 in December of 2018. With Nunes booked for a bantamweight title defense against Holly Holm, Cyborg’s future in the UFC has been unclear.
Spencer has acquired a 7-0 record, and is the current Invicta FC featherweight champion.
UFC 240 is scheduled to be headlined by a men’s featherweight title fight between champion Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar.
