Kamaru Usman takes on Emil Meek at UFC Fight Night 124. Who will win?

I think Usman wins by decision in a pretty close fight. Both guys are looking to climb the ranks in the division, but I think Usman does a bit more and gets the decision. This probably isn’t the most anticipated fight on the card, but here’s hoping the guys don’t fight like that.

My pick is Kamaru Usman by decision. He is an excellent wrestler has been able to rough up his opponents in all six of his UFC fights. Meek will be the best striker that Usman has faced, so he will have to be careful there, but I look for Usman to turn this fight into a wrestling match. It won’t be pretty to watch but it will be effective enough to earn him a decision victory.

There isn’t a fighter outside the top 10 in any division that I have more belief in than Kumaru Usman. He was my pick for breakout fighter/fighter to watch for 2018. He won “The Ultimate Fighter,” is 6-0 in the UFC, and looked like an absolute killer his last time out. Nobody in the top 10 wants to fight this guy because he is too risky a proposition, and no matter what an extremely tough day at the office. My hope, and my prediction, is not only does Usman win this fight, but he does it in spectacular fashion and makes a statement that cannot be ignored. No disrespect to Emil Meek, as he’s a hell of a prospect himself, but it is Usman’s time to ascend in the division, and I’m not sure there’s anyone you could put across the cage from him that night that could stop him. Usman by first round TKO.
