The UFC makes a stop at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida for UFC on FOX 28 on Saturday night. The main event takes place in the featherweight division where Josh Emmett takes on Jeremy Stephens in what should be an exciting bout.
After winning his first eleven professional fights, Josh Emmett finally suffered his first loss at UFC 210 dropping a split decision to Desmond Green. He has since bounced back by winning his previous two. His most recent victory came at UFC on FOX 26 where he finished Ricardo Lamas via TKO in the first round. Fighting out of Team Alpha Male, the thirty-two year old has four wins by KO/TKO, two via submission and seven decision wins.
Longtime UFC veteran, Jeremy Stephens enters Saturday night’s contest a winner of his previous two bouts. First, he took a unanimous decision over Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215 and most recently Stephens finished Doo Ho Choi by TKO at UFC Fight Night 124. The thirty-one year old makes the walk for the forty-first time on Saturday night. Twenty of Stephens’ twenty-seven pro wins have come via stoppage.
The co-main event takes place in the women’s strawweight division where Jessica Andrade will look to continue the momentum she gained after beating Claudia Gadleha in a one-sided affair at UFC Fight Night 117. She takes on Tecia Torres who is looking to win her fourth fight in a row. Torres most recent win was against Michelle Waterson at UFC 218. The winner of this fight should be in line for a title shot against either Rosa Namajunas or Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
The four-fight main card also includes a light heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Ilir Latifi and Mike Perry vs. Max Griffin in a battle of welterweights.
The early prelims will air on Fight Pass starting at 3:15 PM CT, with FOX taking over at 5 PM CT for the prelims. Keep it on FOX for the main card starting at 7 PM CT.
