UFC 201 Payroll: Despite losing title, Lawler ($500K) tops disclosed earnings; new champ Woodley earns $340K

Robbie Lawler, despite his title loss to Tyron Woodley, topped the night’s disclosed earnings on Saturday night at UFC 201. The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission revealed the disclosed earnings for the event on Monday, with Lawler’s $500,000 payout topping the night’s official $1.691 million payroll.

New UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley took home a disclosed $340,000 in his upset title win, while longtime vet Jake Ellenberger scored a $150,000 payday in his upset win over Matt Brown. Only one other fighter earned six figures, with Jorge Masvidal taking home $114,000 in his win over Ross Pearson.
