A flyweight bout between Ali Bagautinov and Geane Herrera is a late addition to next month’s UFC Fight Night 89 event in Ottawa.
The UFC announced the matchup for the June 18 card on Thursday.
Bagautinov looks to halt a two-fight losing skid, which came against two of the best fighters in the division. He lost to Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in a title opportunity in 2014, then, after serving a suspension for a failed drug test, he dropped a decision to Joseph Benavidez in his return last October.
Herrera was beaten by Ray Borg in his UFC debut last August, but bounced back nicely in his second UFC bout in December. He took out Joby Sanchez by TKO in the second round interview that fight to move to 9-1 overall.
The fight joins the UFC’s debut event in Ottawa, which airs live on Fox Sports 1 with a welterweight main event between Rory MacDonald and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
