Patricio “Pitbull” Freire has a new opponent for this month’s Bellator 153 event, as MMAFighting.com reports that Henry Corrales has stepped in for the bout on short notice.

Corrales entered Bellator in 2015 as an undefeated competitor, but after an already rough draw he’s not making things any easier on himself with this matchup. Corrales was submitted by now-current Featherweight Champ Daniel Straus in his debut, and dropped a split decision to the surging Emmanuel Sanchez in his most recent fight.

Now, he steps in on a few weeks notice to face the former champ in Freire, who returns for the first time since losing that title to Straus. The 28-year-old had won seven straight prior to that November decision loss, a run which saw him capture the title and defend it twice, including once over Straus.

Bellator 153 hits Spike from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., on April 22, headlined by the Welterweight Championship bout between Andrey Koreshkov and the debuting Benson Henderson.
