The UFC announced ten fights for their May 29 UFC Fight Night event for Las Vegas during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 85 broadcast, including several prelims to compliment the six-fight main card.
As previously reported, top ten bantamweight Thomas Almeida will take on Cody Garbrandt in the night’s main event, while former Bantamweight Champ Renan Barao will move up to featherweight to take on Jeremy Stephens. On top of that, the UFC confirmed eight new fights for the event as well.
Those new matchups include a fight between top 15 ranked welterweights in Tarec Saffiedine and Rick Story, as well as a highly intriguing welterweight matchup between former lightweight Jorge Masvidal and multi-division competitor Lorenz Larkin.
