British welterweight Michael Page is back in action this March, with Bellator announcing on Monday that he’ll take on Fernando Gonzalez in the co-main event of Bellator 151.
The undefeated Page has been mostly impressive in his Bellator career, stopping four of his five opponents in the organization. That includes two straight first round stoppage wins over Rudy Bears and Charlie Ontiveros, the latter coming in October at Bellator 144.
The flashy, cocky striker now meets Gonzalez, a 12-year journeyman with a 24-13 mark overall. Though significantly inconsistent throughout his career, the WEC, King of the Cage, and Strikeforce event has won all four of his fights in Bellator thus far, defeating Karl Amoussou, Karo Parisyan, Marius Zaromskis, and Curtis Millender. The most recent win came in May of last year, but a failed drug test for marijuana kept him out of the cage the rest of the year.
Bellator 151 hits the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., on March 4, headlined by the bantamweight bout between Joe Warren and Darrion Caldwell. The card airs live on Spike.
