Daniel Cormier has responded to Jon Jones’ latest Twitter comment, giving a snide return on Twitter without tagging Jones.

Jones is expected to be reinstated after a plea deal was reached in his hit and run case; he was stripped of the title due to the April incident, which Cormier then won and defended in fights against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson.
Penick’s Analysis: Cormier’s been taking a stance of superiority over Jones for some time despite the results of their fight in January, and that’s continuing here. I don’t know if he comes off all that well in these exchanges, but regardless of what is said between now and when they fight once again, the fact of the matter is it’s going to be settled in the cage. I’d guess things might get a little more childish down the stretch from them both, though, if their past exchanges are any indication.
