A lightweight bout between Beneil Dariush and Rashid Magomedov is headed to Mexico City, with the UFC announcing this week that they’ll face off at the Nov. 5 UFC Fight Night event.
That event, the UFC’s third in Mexico City, will serve as the finale event for “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3,” and will be headlined by a lightweight bout between former champ Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson.
The 27-year-old Dariush had a five fight winning streak snapped in April when he was upset by Michael Chiesa, but he quickly rebounded with an impressive short notice knockout over James Vick in June. Dariush has stopped four opponents inside the Octagon in his 7-2 run, and he’ll be a serious test for the impressive Magomedov.
4-0 inside the Octagon thus far, the 32-year-old Magomedov brings a 19-1 overall record into this event. He’s won 12 straight fights dating back six years, though he’s returning for the first time in almost a year with this bout.
