A featherweight bout between Dennis Bermudez and Rony Jason is headed to Utah, as Newsday.com reports that the fight is set for UFC Fight Night 92 on August 6.
The 29-year-old Bermudez halted a two fight losing streak in his most recent outing, getting past longtime vet Tatsuya Kawajiri by decision in February. That win came after consecutive stoppage losses which put an end to his previous seven fight winning streak in the Octagon.
As for Jason, the Brazilian returns for the first time since May of 2015. The 32-year-old defeated Damon Jackson with a triangle choke in his last outing, but failed a drug test for a banned diuretic which overturned the result to a no contest and led to a lengthy suspension.
The UFC Fight Night 92 event will air live on Fox Sports 1 from Salt Lake City, the UFC’s first ever event in the state. A featherweight bout between Alex Caceres and Yair Rodrigues is slated to headline.
