Dana White announces that Jose Aldo has signed multi-fight deal with the UFC.
Jose Aldo will be with the UFC for a very long time.
In an interview with ESPN, UFC president Dana White revealed that Jose Aldo recently signed an eight-fight deal with the UFC. ESPN also confirmed the news with Aldo’s management.
According to White, the new deal was signed prior to Aldo’s decision loss to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 237 in May.
The announcement comes as a bit of surprise given that earlier in the year Aldo indicated that 2019 might be his last year in the sport.

Despite only being 32, Aldo has had an extensive MMA career.
Aldo went undefeated for decade, becoming the final featherweight champion for the now-defunct WEC. He remained unbeaten as the featherweight champion in the UFC, before losing in stunning fashion to Conor McGregor at UFC 194 in December 2015.
Since the loss to McGregor, Aldo has gone 3-3, with two losses coming to current featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Currently, Aldo is ranked #3 in the UFC’s official featherweight rankings.
