Who wins Saturday’s main event between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal?

Frank Hyden, Columnist – The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I’m going with Masvidal by decision. Both guys are tough, so I can’t predict a finish, but I think Masvidal will do just a bit more and pull out the win. I think the fight starts tentatively and slowly builds until Masvidal pulls ahead with some good striking and grappling. This has the potential to be an exciting fight so I hope it delivers.

Sean Covington, Columnist – Covington’s Corner

This is a tough one for me, I wanna say Darren Till but I think Tyron Woodley took his soul. If Till comes out with a renewed sense of urgency and purpose then he should win the fight but I’m going with Jorge Masvidal. I don’t think Till recovered from his loss.

I think this is Darren Till’s fight to win.  It’s not going to be easy, but he has the tools to get it done. One thing to keep an eye on is Till’s weight cut and how that affects his cardio come Saturday. Till made weight, but needed the towel and only made it by a hair so who knows how it will affect his performance. Till looked better against his most recent common opponent with Jorge Masvidal in Stephen Thompson. He has also been much more active than Masvidal, who has not fought since 2017. This may come down to who can get to the other guy first, and I think Till will come out swinging in front of his home country and get the early knockout.
