UPDATE: Ariel Helwani is reporting that the Henry Cejudo-TJ Dillashaw fight has in fact been moved from UFC 233 to the Jan. 19 show on ESPN+.

According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, the UFC is considering shifting its UFC 233 main event to their debut on ESPN+.  UFC 233 is currently scheduled to be headlined by TJ Dillashaw taking on Henry Cejudo for the UFC flyweight championship on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The move would give the promotion a huge main event for its debut with ESPN on Jan. 19. This switch makes a lot of sense for the ESPN show which desperately needs a main event. It also clears the way for the welterweight championship to be contested at UFC 233. If Tyron Woodley is ready to go and defend his belt against interim champion Colby Covington, that could substitute as a new main event.

Other fights scheduled for the ESPN+ show include Paige VanZant taking on Rachael Ostovich and Greg Hardy making his UFC debut against Allen Crowder. UFC’s debut on ESPN+ takes place on Jan. 19 from Brooklyn, NY.
