It’s a slow week, with the July 4th holiday for those of us in the
USA, I hope everyone is doing well. Things will pick up next week when
UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Teixeira takes place. The main card is-
Derrick Lewis (28-12, 1 No Contest) vs. Tallison Teixeira (8-0)
Lewis holds the UFC record for most knockouts with 15 (23 KO overall)
and 7 of Teixeira’s wins have come by KO so you would think this
should be an exciting fight for however long it lasts.
Stephen Thompson (17-8-1) vs. Gabriel Bonfim (17-1)
Thompson will be looking to get back on track against the dangerous
submission artist Bonfim (13 wins by Submission).
Calvin Kattar (23-9) vs. Steve Garcia (17-5)
Kattar will be looking to get back on track against the dangerous
knockout artist Garcia (14 wins by KO)
Nate Landwehr (18-6) vs. Morgan Charriere (20-11-1)
Both men have alternated wins and losses in their last four fights
(and both lost their last fight)
Vitor Petrino (11-2) vs. Austen Lane (13-6, 1 No Contest)
Both are coming off of knockout losses and are looking to get back in
the win column
Junior Tafa (6-3) vs. Tuco Tokkos (10-5)
All of Tafa’s wins have come via Knockout while Tokkos is slightly
more varied, though the majority (6 wins) have come by Knockout.
There were no UFC events this past week but PFL MENA and PFL Europe
both had an event. I won’t go through them individually but 7 of the
11 fights on PFL MENA 2 had finishes and 10 of the 16 fight on PFL
Europe 2 had finishes, including a hellacious spinning back elbow
knockout from Gustavo Oliveira (11-2) on Anas Azizoun (5-2) in the
first round of their fight on the PFL Europe 2 card.
Here’s a link to the official PFL Europe page on X about it.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall (15-3) recently said he’d like
to fight four times in the next year. Barring injury, he’s certainly capable of that. However, there’s always the possibility that he gets
knocked out in his next fight or so. Unlikely, given how well he’s been fighting, but you never know for sure.
Talk is that Aspinall will fight Ciryl Gane (13-2) in his next fight.
Aspinall wants to clear out the Top Ten at heavyweight and already
holds victories over Sergei Pavlovich (19-3), Alexander Volkov
(38-11), Curtis Blaydes (19-5, 1 No Contest), Marcin Tybura (27-9),
and Serghei Spivac (17-6).
If Aspinall beats Gane, the names left would be Jailton Almeida
(22-3), Waldo Cortes Acosta (14-1), Derrick Lewis (28-12, 1 No
Contest), and Tai Tuivasa (14-8).
If he does all that, that really burnishes his resume.

The UFC is going to hold a fight card next year at the White House as
a part of the America 250 celebration. I know some will have their
political hot takes but I’m very interested in how this is going to be
staged. How will it look, where will it be, etc?
Everyone out there dealing with the heat, flooding, storms, or just
life in general wherever you are, stay safe. I hope you’re all doing well.
My new epic fantasy book is out. It’s called Kingdom of Zarias: The End’s
Beginning. The exciting epic fantasy series Kingdom of Zarias
returns with the 4th book in the series. After the harrowing events of
Book 3 the residents of the Kingdom of Zarias continue on their paths.
Serena Summers continues to learn and grow as a fighter, desperately
seeking to become stronger before she loses anyone else in her life.
Daniel Summers discovers new parts of the world that open his eyes to
just how little he truly knows. A new hero, Lamar Abeers, arrives to
join the fight against evil. Plus, Zach Summers, Tiana Highsmith, and Xavien Ekens continue their journeys with their friends, and a new
ruler of Vhaharen is crowned. The world has found a little peace.
However, that peace is only temporary. In a shocking act of violence,
the monstrous villain Galren strikes from the shadows and changes the
world forever. This is Book 4 in the series. There’s lots of action,
magic, and monsters in the Kingdom of Zarias. It’s like a tabletop
game in novel form. It’s on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other
places. If you’re interested, I would greatly appreciate it if you
would check it out and support me.Thank you very much, have a good day.
