3 Fights To Watch 4-12-2025

Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett
Biggest fight of Pimblett’s life. Some say it’s too soon for such a big step up in competition but I think it’s the right time. Either Pimblett is the man or he’s not.

Chandler hasn’t been as successful as he should be in the UFC and a loss here puts a nail in the coffin if you ask me. Chandler has to stop young upstarts in order to maintain his legacy as a badass.

I don’t think Paddy has the strength or stamina to hang with Chandler. The UFC is trying to put the future of the sport in Pimblett’s hands, this is a big step towards doing just that.

Yair Rodríguez vs Patrício Pitbull

A true test for both men and one of the most important fights of their careers. Both men could bounce back if they lost but it would be a significant loss to come back from. Pitbull needs to make a statement and he needs to start with this caliber fighter. Yair has had memorable battles but hasn’t quite found the level of success he’s looking for.

Bryce Mitchell vs Jean Silva

Yes, we all want to see Bryce Mitchell get his head knocked off but the fact of the matter is, he’s more likely to grind out a win. For as much as he talks, Mitchell is not a finisher.

Silva isn’t accustomed to losing, he’s only done it twice and that was close to a decade ago. Mitchell is going to have a hard time getting a decision because Jean Silva doesn’t like going to them; 12 of his 15 wins come by way of knockout.

Final take

The card is top-heavy for sure but has fans excited. Volkanovski headlining gives the card some major appeal. Jim Miller will no doubt set the bar on the prelims, being one of the best workhorses of the UFC and MMA in general. Darren Elkins and Dan Ige will also add excitement and credibility on what seems to be a must watch event for diehard fans
