Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Shamil Gaziev
Shamil Gaziev has his work cut out for him. Jairzinho Rozenstruik is a man with crazy one punch knockout power, something Gaziev has himself. Rozenstruik is just 3-5 since 2020, all 5 of his losses have come since then. he’s only won 3 of his last 8 fights, his career may very well hang in the balance.
Gaziev on the other hand, has never lost and is quickly ascending. Will he pick up his 13th win? Hard to give the edge to one knockout artist over another. It will be a slugfest so whoever connects first is probably going to cause the upset.
Alex Perez vs Muhammad Mokaev
Muhammad Mokaev is undefeated but if Alex Perez can knock him off it can keep him in the right conversations. Mokaev has the tools to put Perez away and needs to do so to propel himself into title picture ahead of a guy like Perez. I’m not sure Mokaev has what it takes to actually capture the title but he CAN get himself into that fight.
Perez has list his last 2 fight but to former champ and current champ even a loss here seemingly won’t kill his career. He went on a 3 fight win streak before then, he could conceivably work his way backninto a title shot but it would take quite some time, losing to the undefeated Mokaev would mean he’s on the way down and may be relegated to playing gatekeeper.
Umar Nurmagomedov vs Bekzat Almakhan
Almakhan only loss once back in 2020, he’s been undefeated since then. He cannot be underestimated if you’re Umar, it could mean an early night and night night.
Yet another undefeated fighter looking to extend his undefeated streak. Nurmagomedov is tapping you out or its going the distance. Bekzat however, is looking for a knockout. Two different styles and styles make fights; an unpredictable finish if I’ve ever seen one.
Final take
The card doesn’t seem impressive at first glance but there’s quit a bit riding on these fights. There 4 are fighters on the main card who are u defeated and a few on the whole card with just 1 loss. These are fighters we’re going to be seeing a lot of. Definitely a Fight Night to pay attention to, some of these fighters may very well be future champs.
