3 Fights To Watch 12/10/22

Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Chris Daukaus

Heavyweight

Rozenstruik needs an impressive win tonight in order to get back on track or se he may end up in a downward spiral much like Derrick Lewis. The issue is so does his opponent. Daukus lost to Blaydes in dramatic fashion, a repeat of that and he is unlikely to recover. The same can be said for Rozenstruik but the UFC likes big black athletes more than others…just saying. Jairzinho Rozenstruik is more marketable, I call it the King Kong effect. Think about the King Kong story and what happened…yep, that’s what I’m saying. Derrick Lewis doesn’t help, think us he has to take a shit so it is what it is. I aint standing in the way of black men getting money ’cause I’m also a black man trying to get money and I preferred Mighty Joe Young over King Kong, just saying. I’m picking Rozenstruik to effectively end Daukaus’ ufc career.

Bryce Mitchell vs Ilia Topuria

Featherweight

I don’t believe that Mitchell is the real deal but it’s not about what I believe, it’s about the truth. The truth is he’s got one loss to 15 Ws. Topuria however, has not lost at all. 1 loss is impressive but being undefeated after 10+ fights is insane. Mitchell is going to need more than a decision to win this fight. The more impressive the victory by the winner, the further they will go from here. It’s a perfect fight to see what next to do with these fighters, more often than not, fights are just made to keep fighters busy but not necessarily advance their actual careers. Mitchell says no one will care if he beats Illia but they will damn sure laugh Mitchell to scorn if he loses. This is why people can’t stand Bryce Mitchell and why his losses will count more than his wins

Darren Till vs Dricus Du Plessis

Middleweight

We all want to know. Is Till back on track? I say no, he has come back more times than the clap. Till has more returns than Optimus Prime. This is his last chance for anyone to give a damn. Dricus doesn’t lose much, he is on a 5 fight win streak and Till is a huge name to add to his resume. For those reasons, I don’t think Till really has a chance against a guy that fights consistently and only has 2 losses. Darren Till winning means life to the Middleweight picture that is desperately needed, the star power and trash talking is more than enough to get people interested in fights but can Till actually stop being a buster and win?

Final take

No, I didn’t put Paddy Pimblet on this list because everyone is going to watch it anyway. I also believe that no one is really giving Paddy a chance. Chris Curtis and Joaquin Buckley got into it during media stuff so that’s gonna be a heated fight that’s absolutely must watch now. Let’s not forget Edmen Shahbazyan looking to make a name for himself tonight. This is actually an impressive card and should be a strong night for the UFC. I just wish that we could get cards like this on ESPN more to get more fans in. This is a card you build your casual fantasy with so let the casuals see it. Lots of hard-core fans have become casuals over the years because of the lack of cards like this that are available to them.
