I’ll go with Hooker by TKO in the 2nd round. I wouldn’t be surprised by a Felder win but I think Hooker will have a slight edge with his striking and come away with the victory. I think Hooker will be extra motivated by the home country crowd and use that to his advantage in an exciting fight.

While this is essentially a home game for Dan Hooker, I feel that Paul Felder is a much more well-rounded fighter. Felder is a guy that UFC and ESPN seem to want to see do well. With Felder being (sort of) name-checked by Conor McGregor last month, a win here could put him on the shortlist for either a lightweight title shot or a McGregor fight. I like Felder to take a second-round TKO over Hooker on Saturday.

Let’s get some things straight, the winner of this fight is going to move up the ranks of gatekeeper only, and Paul Felder is better on commentary as an analyst than he is in the cage regardless of what Todd Martin said. Now that that’s out of the way, Dan Hooker has never been that impressive to me, Felder has though. I’m going to tentatively pick Paul Felder but only if he’s hungry enough, I feel like Felder is still pretty hungry but Hooker is going to put him to the test. Hooker has the reach and age advantage but with Felder being older he has a much smaller window which attributes to his hunger. Hooker is on a roll though, beating James Vick and Al Iaquinta back to back is no small feat.
