I’ll go with Brunson by decision. I don’t think either guy will get finished and Brunson will do just a bit more and get the nod from the judges. They’re both tough and this is close, but I think Brunson’s power will give him the edge and he turns around his losing streak and halts Theodorou’s winning streak.

Derek Brunson needs to win and that’s why I think he will win. Elias Theodorou is on a roll and that could prove to be too much for Brunson but Brunson has the experience advantage. If Elias wins then I give him a chance to avenge his loss against, you guessed it, Thiago Santos. Santos put more than a few ‘L’s’ on records in his career and if he becomes champion after facing Jon Jones then he is going to most certainly add a few more.

I like Elias Theodorou here. I still think he is the most underrated fighter in the middleweight division. He’s in a featured position here, so if he gets the win, he should be able to get a top ranked fighter next. Theodorou likes to play it safe and work the outside of the cage. Look for that to frustrate Derek Brunson. I don’t think Brunson will get knocked out, but the frustration will allow Theodorou to score and get the decision win.
