Who wins the UFC Ottawa main event between Al Iaquinta and Donald Cerrone?

Frank Hyden, Columnist – The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I’ll go with Iaquinta. I keep picking against him but he’s really tough and never quits so I’m going to stop picking against him and say he beats Cerrone by TKO in the fourth round. I really like Cerrone and he’s done well at lightweight but I just think Iaquinta wins a close one. I think Cerrone has some good success and I’m expecting this to be an exciting fight, but I’ll go against my head and say Iaquinta wins.

Al by foreclosure.

Sean Covington, Columnist – Covington’s Corner

I’m not getting on Donald Cerrone. He wins big fights sometimes but I’m just not sold on him. Al Iaquinta is a warrior, more of a warrior than Cerrone in my opinion so I pick Iaquinta to humble the Cerrone fans. Donald Cerrone is not a championship fighter and I’m not gonna get behind him as if he is one; YOU can but I will always doubt Cerrone.

Al Iaquinta really impressed me in beating Kevin Lee late last year. Cerrone has also looked excellent as of late. This is a tough one to call, and I’m hoping for a great fight. Cerrone has really matured as a fighter in recent years and I think he will take a very disciplined approach in this fight. I think Iaquinta will tire in the later rounds and Cerrone will be able to get the fight to the mat and he’ll score the submission win, probably in the fourth.
