Who will win Saturday’s fight between Donald Cerrone and Mike Perry?

I’m going with Mike Perry to come out and edge Donald Cerrone by decision. I think this fight definitely could end early, but I can’t pick either of these guys to get finished so I’ll go with Perry in a close fight. I expect some slow stretches as each man feels the other out and changes gears but we should also get some exciting moments, especially with the striking.

I’m not putting any money on anyone. Seems to me like it’s a battle for gatekeeper so I’m going with Donald Cerrone. Cerrone is a veteran and if Mike Perry gets into any trouble Cerrone will win easily. Cerrone will win and go nowhere. Mike Perry will lose and go further down the card. What I want though, is for Donald Cerrone to get knocked out cold on the first punch and for him to go to Bellator immediately after.

Each of these two fighters have been inconsistent of late, and that’s being kind. Donald Cerrone has lost four of five and Mike Perry two of his last three. If you look at the quality of each of their recent wins, I would give Perry the edge. Cerrone is a gritty, durable, veteran fighter, but his durability is diminishing and he may have become a little gun-shy. Perry looked solid in his win over Paul Felder earlier this year. Felder is similar enough to Cerrone stylistically that I think this is a good fight for Perry. I’m calling for a Mike Perry win by third round TKO.
