At UFC on Fox 26, on Dec. 16, Glover Teixeira takes on Misha Cirkunov. Who will win?

I think Teixiera wins a close decision. I think it’s a tightly contested fight but that Teixiera will either win two of the rounds or if he does win all three, it’ll be really close and almost a toss-up. I think this is one of those fights that could be won with a takedown late in a round or maybe even a knockdown late in one of the rounds. It should be close, but I think Teixiera takes it.

Glover has not looked good lately and I think he will attempt to wrestle his way to victory in this fight. I think that Cirkunov should be able to counter Glover’s wrestling and land a knockout victory in this fight. Glover is getting older and pretty susceptible to KO’s. This should be a pretty entertaining fight.

I have watched the fight again and again, and I truly believe Oezdemir’s KO of Cirkunov was an absolute fluke. Harder case to make since he’s now done the same thing to Jimi Manuwa, but every time I watch it appears it just clips Cirkunov in a weird spot on his neck and he goes down like he’s shot. I think if we rolled back that fight, Cirkunov would have beaten him soundly and we’d all be talking title shot for him. That’s just how it goes in this game. I wouldn’t call Teixeira a ‘shot’ fighter just yet, but his best days are behind him. Still. he has some of the heaviest hands in the business but I expect to see an exponentially improved version of Misha Cirkunov that takes Teixeira into deep water and drowns him. Cirkunov 2nd round submission.

Glover Teixeira will win in a war in quite possibly the fight of the night.
