Rashad Evans fights on

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans has decided against retirement. The former champion spoke to mmafighting.com.

“I can’t retire like this. I would never know peace again in my life. Endless night I would be left looking at the ceiling unable to accept reality.”

As to which weight class he plans to fight at, Evans said this.

“I have to talk that over, but I feel like at 205 I had more energy.”

Grocke’s Point of View: I am not here to tell anyone how to live their life. But, after watching Evans lose his last four fights in a row, and not good in any of the defeats, I wish the former champ would retire. His last two losses were to Sam Alvey and Daniel Kelly, neither of them are currently in the top 15.

More health issues for VanZant

Paige VanZant was forced to pull out of her fight against Jessica Eye at UFC 216 due to a back injury earlier this week, and unfortunately for the UFC flyweight that was just the beginning of her issues. VanZant took to Twitter to announce a bevy of other health related issues.

Her tweet reads as follows:

“When it rains it pours. Herniated disc, double ear infection, sinus infection, pink eye and ringworm all right now! Send me good vibes.”

Grocke’s Viewpoint: Yikes! Talk about a rough patch. Hopefully she heals up and we see her in a UFC cage sooner, rather than later.
