UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT JOSH SAMMAN FOUND UNRESPONSIVE, IN COMA IN HOSPITAL

Some very serious and scary news came out this weekend when the Tallahassee Democrat reported that UFC Middleweight Josh Samman was found unresponsive alongside his roommate, Troy Kirkingburg. Kirkingburg, 28, an announcer for a local MMA promotion owned by Samman was pronounced dead on arrival at a Florida hospital. Samman is currently in the hospital, reportedly in a coma.

Requests for police reports made by the Tallahassee Democrat have yet to be responded to, so details of the nature of Kirkingburg’s death and Samman’s condition are unknown.

Kirkingburg’s obituary states: “Troy was a big dreamer who positively impacted all the lives of people he know and loved and he will be forever remembered by his family, friends, and his beloved fiancé, Charlene Cristobal.”

Hiscoe’s Analysis: I won’t use this space to speculate. There is plenty of that going around on message boards and social media right now. Let’s just hope that Samman is able to recover and that he comes out of this OK. I’ll also offer my condolences on behalf of MMA Torch to Troy Kirkingburg’s family and loved ones. They are suffering a great loss that is now unfortunately magnified due to Samman also being involved.

Edit: A previous headline attached to this article initially indicated Samman had died. Samman is currently in a coma in a Florida hospital. We regret the error.
