Undefeated strawweight prospect Alexa Grasso makes her UFC debut this November, with the organization announcing this week that the 23-year-old will meet Heather Jo Clark at UFC Fight Night 98.
The Guadalajara native will fight in front of a home country crowd, as the event emanates from Mexico City on Nov. 5, headlined by a lightweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson.
Grasso brings with her a perfect 8-0 mark, with her last four wins all coming inside the Invicta FC cage. Her last two have been particularly impressive, as she scored a “Fight of the Night” award in her win over Mizuki Inoue in 2015 before a “Performance of the Night” in victory over Jodie Esquibel just last month at Invicta FC 18.
Clark, 35, returned to the UFC in May after a 17-month layoff, losing a decision to current No. 1 contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz. The Ultimate Fighter 20 competitor won her debut in the organization on that season’s finale event, and she brings a 7-5 overall mark into this event.
