Bellator’s Jordan Parsons victim of hit and run, in critical condition after partial leg amputation

By Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

In harrowing and tragic news out of Florida, 25-year-old Bellator fighter Jordan Parsons is in critical condition following a hit and run accident.

According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Parsons’ career has almost assuredly been cut short, as he had to have the bottom half of his right leg amputated after being hit by a car, which then apparently drove off from the scene.

Parsons had been scheduled to fight on the May 14 Bellator 154 fight, but his bout with Adam Piccolotti is off that card in San Jose.

Penick’s Analysis: This is terribly sad news, and right now we can only hope Parsons survives. That’s the most pressing concern at the moment, and we extend all positive thoughts to this young man as he tried to pull through. This is just absolutely tragic.
