Josh Samman vs. Tim Boetsch, Ben Nguyen vs. Louis Smolka among first four additions to UFC Fight Night 91 in Sioux Falls

The first several fights for the UFC’s debut event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, have been announced, as Josh Samman vs. Tim Boetsch, Ben Nguyen vs. Louis Smolka, Kyle Noke vs. Keita Nakamura, and Cody Pfister vs. Scott Holtzman are all set for the July 13 event.

Samman hopes to bounce back from a third round submission loss to Tamdan McCrory in December, a defeat which snapped a three fight winning streak in the Octagon. Boetsch gets another booking despite three straight losses and a 2-6 mark over his last eight UFC bouts.

Nguyen, the first fighter from South Dakota set to compete on the card, has impressed greatly in two UFC appearances thus far. The 27-year-old knocked out Alptekin Ozkilic in his debut last May, then followed that up with a submission win over Ryan Benoit in November. Now he takes on Smolka, who is on a three fight winning streak in the Octagon, most recently submitting Paddy Holohan in Holohan’s home country of Ireland last October.

Both Noke and Nakamura are hoping to get back on track after decision losses in their most recent fights, while Pfister and Holtzman are also in need of bounce back wins after recent losses.

The July 13 event does not yet have a headliner, but it will air live on Fox Sports 1 and serves as UFC Fight Night 91.
