Mark Hunt’s win over Frank Mir this weekend at UFC Fight Night 85 gave him two straight victories for the first time since 2013. Now, he’s interested in avenging one of the losses he took in between.
“I’d fight any of the top guys,” Hunt said after the event (via MMAJunkie.com). “I could rematch any of those guys, [Junior] Dos Santos, Stipe [Miocic], the guy with the belt, Fabricio [Werdum].
“I’ve never lost a rematch, so I’d like to rematch any of these guys.”
All three of those men are currently tied up in other fights, but Hunt may get a chance at one of them later in the year.
Penick’s Analysis: This division is such that Hunt could be in line for just about any fight in the top ten. It entirely depends on the UFC’s thoughts of where he’s at, and how a few of the fights already booked in the division play out over the next few months. Hunt’s win keeps him treading water for now, but one of those fights might certainly open up to him for the summer or fall. For now, it’s a waiting game.

Barnett’s the only decent HW who doesn’t have a fight booked right now, and that too would be a rematch from the olden days.
