The UFC has been filling out several upcoming events this week, and their March 20 UFC Fight Night 85 card in Australia now has its 11th fight with the addition of Daniel Hooker vs. Mark Eddiva.
The bout was reported by Stuff.co.nz this week with confirmation from the UFC.
New Zealand’s Hooker has split his four appearances in the UFC, alternating wins and losses since his debut in 2014. The 25-year-old has impressive stoppage wins over Ian Entwistle and Hatsu Hioki, but he’s suffered decision losses to Maximo Blanco and, most recently, Yair Rodriguez.
Eddiva, hailing from the Philippines, is in need of a win after consecutive defeats. The 29-year-old entered the UFC as an undefeated fighter, and added a win to that record in his debut over Jumabieke Tuerxun. However, he’s since been stopped by Kevin Souza, and dropped a decision to Levan Makashvili.
The UFC Fight Night 85 event will air live on UFC Fight Pass, headlined by the heavyweight bout between Frank Mir and Mark Hunt. The full lineup as it stands thus far is below:
