Diego Sanchez vs. Jim Miller booked for UFC 197’s UFC Fight Pass prelims

Diego Sanchez’s return to lightweight is coming at UFC 197, as the UFC announced this week that he’ll take on Jim Miller as the featured prelim fight on UFC Fight Pass.

Sanchez became just the second man to fight in four UFC weight classes in his last outing, but that ill-fated featherweight bout with Ricardo Lamas ended in yet another defeat. The original Ultimate Fighter winner has fought in the organization for over a decade, and is being given another chance to pick up a win despite a 4-6 run over his last ten fights, which includes several questionable decision wins in his favor.

He’ll try to get another win against Miller, another longtime UFC lightweight vet who is in need of a victory. The 32-year-old has lost three of his last four, most recently getting submitted by Michael Chiesa in 2015.

UFC 197 hits Las Vegas on March 5, headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Conor McGregor, with a co-main event between Holly Holm and Miesha Tate for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship.
