A couple of new bantamweight fights have been added to the UFC Fight Night 83 event in London this February, with the UFC announcing this week that Brad Pickett will meet Henry Briones, while Davey Grant takes on Marlon Vera.

London’s own Pickett is in desperate need of a victory. The longtime veteran was an exciting member of the WEC’s bantamweight roster, and his wild and oftentimes reckless style has allowed him to keep getting fights, but he’s dropped six of ten bouts since joining the UFC. That includes losses in four of his last five fights, most recently getting knocked out by a flying knee from Thomas Almeida at UFC 189.

He’ll be out to snap a three fight losing streak against Briones. The Mexican fighter got his debut in the organization off a seven fight unbeaten stretch, but after a win over Guido Cannetti in his UFC debut, he dropped a decision to Cody Garbrandt in July himself.

Grant returns to the cage for the first time in well over two years, as he hasn’t fought since losing to Chris Holdsworth in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 18 in November of 2013. He’ll meet Vera, who scored a stellar submission win in August over Roman Salazar after a loss to Marco Beltran in his UFC debut.

UFC Fight Night 83 doesn’t yet have a headliner, but is expected to air live on UFC Fight Pass from the O2 Arena on Feb. 27, and features longtime UFC vet Michael Bisping in middleweight action against Gegard Mousasi.
