Penick’s Analysis: Hopefully Brooks gets an offer from the UFC. He belongs in a spot where he can fight the best and prove himself among the best, because his run thus far has been impressive and absolutely suggests he can have success there. Now it’s about getting the opportunity to prove it. If he enters the UFC, he’ll be an immediate contender in a stacked field, and just about any matchup he can get will be a good opening test to judge his spot in the field on that roster. From there he’s likely to move up quickly, and would be another competitive and viable name to plug into a mix that could use some new blood.
