Ovince Saint Preux has returned to Twitter this week to make his first comments since his short notice loss to Jon Jones at UFC 197. The 33-year-old is staying positive in spite of the loss, and the broken arm suffered during the bout.
if you didnt know, its kinda hard to tweet with one arm 😀. I’d like to thank the @ufc & @JonnyBones for the opportunity this past weekend…

We didn’t get the win, but not for lack of trying. Going 5 rounds w/ the p4p with a broken arm is not an easily accomplished task…

Some people wouldve caved, but when you want something bad enough youll risk losing an arm for it. Cant say I dont have the heart of a champ

Penick’s Analysis: It was a gutsy effort, especially with the injury happening during the bout, and he deserves credit for sticking in there against the best in the world on short notice through 25 minutes. He took some considerable damage throughout the fight, even though there were some lengthy moments between spurts of offense. Regardless, he did his best under the circumstances, and that commendable performance will get him further featured spots when he’s healed up and ready to return.
